Texhoma livestock salesThe Texhoma Livestock Auction, Texhoma, Okla., reported receipts of 750 head Aug. 6, compared to 560 head last week and 850 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, limited test on feeder steers. Feeder heifers were $2 to $3 higher. Limited test on steer calves. Heifer calves were steady. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average, few full. The supply included 31% steers, 64% heifers with 67% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows were $1 higher. Slaughter bulls were $2 higher. A total of 154 cows and bulls sold with 79% to packers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 10 head, 348 lbs., 130.00; 8 head, 604 lbs., 115.00; 2 head, 690 lbs., 112.00; 7 head, 804 lbs., 111.50.
