Springfield livestock reportThe Springfield Livestock Marketing Center, Springfield, Mo., reported receipts of 1,400 head July 30, compared to 1,377 head last week and 1,830 head last year, according to the Missouri Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Jefferson City, Mo. Compared to last week, steers under 600 and over 800 pounds were steady, 600 to 800 pounds were $2 to $3 higher, Holsteins were steady, heifers $1 to $4 higher. Demand was moderate to good, supply was moderate. The feeder supply included 32% steers, 10% Holsteins, 41% heifers, 18% bulls, with 48% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 450 to 475 lbs., 119.00 to 122.00; 500 to 600 lbs., 111.00 to 120.00; 600 to 700 lbs., 113.00 to 118.00, 600 to 650 lbs., calves 112.00 to 117.00; 700 to 775 lbs., 109.00 to 114.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 425 to 500 lbs., 109.00 to 115.50; 500 to 600 lbs., 108.00 to 111.00, package 514 lbs., thin 121.00; 600 to 700 lbs., 110.00 to 113.50; 700 to 800 lbs., 105.00 to 109.50; few 809 lbs., 104.00 to 104.50; 900 to 950 lbs., 100.00 to 105.00.
