Dakotafest announces the First National Bank South Dakota Pavilion forum scheduleFeatures three jam-packed days of highly educational forums and seminars. South Dakota Mark your calendars to attend this year's Dakotafest held Aug. 19t to 21 at the Schlaffman Farm in Mitchell, S.D. With more than 500 exhibitors on more than 1.2 million square feet of land, Dakotafest is South Dakota's premier agricultural event. New in 2008 is the redesigned First National Bank South Dakota Pavilion sponsored by First National Bank South Dakota and supported by South Dakota State University. Located on the northwest corner of the show grounds, the pavilion will feature a number of information booths, displays and a highly educational and topical forum schedule. Aug. 19: 10 a.m., Profitability in Animal Agriculture during Economic Instability; 11:30 a.m., Adjusting Your Family Budget to Meet Rising Costs; 12:45 p.m., free SDSU ice cream; 1 p.m., Ag Outlook: What You Need to Know to Maximize Profit; 3 p.m., Profitability in Plant Agriculture During Economic Instability;
Aug. 20: 10 a.m., Candidates for United States Representative; 11:30 a.m., Candidates for United States Senator; 12:45 p.m., free SDSU ice cream; 1 p.m., Keeping the Farm in the Family; 2:30 p.m., Andrew McCrea: "Key Trends for Success in Tomorrow's Agriculture;"
Aug. 21: 11:45 a.m., United States Secretary of Agriculture Ed Schafer; 12:45 p.m., free SDSU ice cream. Make the First National Bank South Dakota Pavilion part of your plans for Dakotafest 2008. Dakotafest will be open Aug. 19 and 20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Aug. 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $6 per person and free for those 18 and under.
