Pratt livestock sales reportPratt Livestock Sales Inc., Pratt, Kan., reported receipts of 4,646 head, March 27, compared to 5,589 head, last week and 2,744 head, last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared to last week, steers 300 to 650 pounds were steady to weak, 650 to 900 pounds were steady to $1 lower, 900 to 1000 pounds were $2 lower. Heifers 300 to 600 pounds were $2 to $5 higher, 600 to 850 pounds were steady to $1 lower. Trade was active, demand was good. Slaughter cows were $1 lower. Slaughter bulls were $3 higher. Receipts included 72% 600 pounds and over, 21% 600 pounds and under, 7% cows and bulls. The feeder supply included 59% steers and 41% heifers.
