Lexington livestock salesThe Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 2,200 head March 28, compared to 1,400 head last week and 2,300 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared to last week, based on a narrow test steers and heifers trended fully steady to $4 higher. Demand was moderate to good and trading moderately active. Receipts consisted of 62% steers and 38% heifers with 77% of the total feeder cattle receipts weighing over 600 pounds.
