Goldthwaite livestock salesThe Mills County Commission Co., Goldthwaite, Texas, March 28 reported receipts of 1,511 head of sheep and goats, compared to 2,384 head last week and 2,288 head last year, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, Amarillo, Texas. Compared to last week, stocker and feeder lambs were not tested. Slaughter lambs were steady. Stocker and feeder goats were not tested. Slaughter goats were $3 to $5 higher. Demand was good. The supply included round 30% sheep including nearly 350 lambs. Prices per CWT unless specified. Stock and feeder: Dorper ewes, 90 to 130 lbs., 39.00 to 60.00. Barbados pairs, few 22.00 to 26.00 per head. Barbados bucks, 90.00 to 185.00 per head. Slaughter lambs: Choice, few 100 to 150 lbs., 70.00 to 80.00. Choice 1 to 3, 40 to 85 lbs., 120.00 to 126.00.
