Apache cattle sales report

Stockman's Livestock Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 2,014 head March 28, compared to 3,039 head last week and 1,667 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, all classes of cattle were steady to $2 lower. Weigh-ups were average to full. Demand for all classes of cattle moderate to good. The supply included 57% steers, 39% heifers, 5% bulls and 52% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cow and bull sale not reported but trended $1 to $3 lower. A total of 365 cows and bulls sold with 55% going to packers.
