Aberdeen cattle sales report

The Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 3,561 head April 2, compared to 4,435 head last week and 1,202 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Aberdeen, S.D.

Compared to last week, feeder steers sold $2 to $4 lower. Heifers sold $2 to $5 lower. Demand was moderate. Steers comprised 53% of the run, heifers 47%, with 88% over 600 pounds.
