Presho livestock sales reportThe Presho Livestock Auction, Presho, S.D., reported receipts of 1,237 head April 17, compared to 1,725 head last week and 2,275 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to two weeks ago, feeder steers and heifer sold $2 to $4 higher. Some potloads were on offer. The offering included 48% steers, 52% heifers, with 89% 600 pounds and over. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 14 head, 555 to 588 lbs., 116.00 to 120.00 (117.68); 609 to 635 lbs., 115.25 to 120.50 (118.48); 655 to 660 lbs., 109.25 to 113.75 (111.96); 717 to 749 lbs., 105.50 to 110.85 (108.02); 812 to 821 lbs., 104.00 to 105.25 (104.11); 35 head, 825 lbs., 98.10 full; 15 head, 863 lbs., 91.75. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 11 head, 458 to 461 lbs., 121.50 to 123.00 (122.18); 5 head, 604 lbs., 111.25. Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 9 head, 501 lbs., 112.00; 563 to 592 lbs., 107.75 to 110.00 (107.89); 601 to 644 lbs., 103.00 to 106.25 (104.77); 658 to 684 lbs., 96.25 to 100.00 (99.38); 71 head, 716 lbs., 98.85; 753 to 787 lbs., 94.00 to 100.25 (96.61); 813 to 827 lbs., 91.75 to 97.25 (95.35); 861 to 863 lbs., 90.25 to 92.50 (91.97).
