Pratt livestock sales reportPratt Livestock Sales Inc., Pratt, Kan., reported receipts of 2,961 head, April 17, compared to 3,240 head, last week and 3,622 head, last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared to last week, steers and heifers at 300 to 600 pounds were steady to firm in a light supply. Steers at 600 to 1,000 pounds were $1 to $3 higher. Heifers at 600 to 950 pounds were steady to $3 higher. Trade was active, demand was good. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. Receipts included 70% 600 pounds and over, 20% 600 pounds and under, 10% cows and bulls. The feeder supply included 56% heifers and 44% steers.
