Aberdeen cattle sales report

The Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 4,853 head April 23, compared to 4,596 head last week and 4,249 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Compared to last week, feeder steers sold steady to $4 higher. Heifers sold $2 to $4 higher. Demand was good, with a large attendance. The offering was comprised of 54% steers, 46% heifers, with 94% over 600 pounds.
