Woodward livestock sales report

The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 3,001 head April 11, compared to 3,450 head last week and 4,045 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $2 higher. Feeder heifers were $1 to $2 higher. Steer calves were steady to $2 higher. There was a limited test on heifer calves. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average to full. The supply included 72% steers, 26% heifers with 81% over 600 pounds.
