St. Joseph feeder pigs

The St. Joseph feeder pig auction, St. Joseph, Mo., reported receipts of 204 head April 15, compared to 216 head last week and 42 head last year, according to the USDA-Missouri Department of Agriculture Market News, St. Joseph, Mo.

Compared to last week, there was not a good price comparison on comparable weights, but feeder pigs sold with a higher undertone. There was a nice offering of good quality feeder pigs on hand. Prices paid per head on actual weights.

U.S. 1 to 2: lot 39 lbs., 15.50; 45 to 48 lbs., 15.00; package 52 lbs., 27.00; 57 to 59 lbs., 21.00 to 24.00; lot 69 lbs., 29.00; package 73 lbs., 40.00; package 79 lbs., 79.00 good quality show pigs; package 84 lbs., 30.50.

U.S. 1 to 3: package 48 lbs., 10.00; package 70 lbs., 25.00
