South Central direct sheep

The South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending April 11, showed receipts of 4,500 feeder lambs, and 500 slaughter lambs, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas.

There were no comparisons on feeder lambs. Lambs that traded this week were put together from central Texas over the last month. There were no slaughter ewes, replacement ewes were not tested. Slaughter meat goats were not tested.

Feeder lambs: Texas, 4500 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 75 to 100 lbs., new crop 120.00 with .50 slide over 80 lbs.

Slaughter lambs: No comparison, Texas, 500 head, Good and Choice 1 to 2, 50 lbs., hair lambs 110.00.
