Pratt livestock sales reportPratt Livestock Sales Inc., Pratt, Kan., reported receipts of 3,240 head, April 10, compared to 4,778 head, last week and 4,964 head, last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared to last week, steers and heifers at 300 to 600 pounds were steady to firm, and steers at 600 to 1000 pounds and heifers at 600 to 950 pounds were steady to $3 higher. Trade was active, demand was good. Slaughter cows were steady. Slaughter bulls were $2 higher. Receipts included 82% 600 pounds and over, 12% 600 pounds and under, 6% cows and bulls. The feeder supply included 52% steers and 48% heifers.
