Apache cattle sales report

Stockman's Livestock Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 3,363 head April 10, compared to 2,768 head last week and 3,817 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, there were not enough on offer for a market test. Heavy rains moved across the state the previous day leaving up to four inches of rain in the Apache area, which drastically reduced livestock movement. Demand for all classes of cattle was moderate to good. The supply included 32% steers, 63% heifers, 6% bulls and 59% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 4 head, 263 lbs., 140.00; 5 head, 316 lbs., 133.00; 12 head, 589 to 598 lbs., 112.00 to 113.00 (112.50); 10 head, 600 lbs., 110.00; 20 head, 714 to 731 lbs., 97.00 to 98.50 (97.76); 762 to 787 lbs., 95.00 to 98.25 (97.82); 24 head, 804 lbs., 97.00; 14 head, 906 to 911 lbs., 85.00 to 88.00 (86.71). Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 10 head, 519 lbs., 119.50; 11 head, 622 lbs., 110.00. Medium and large frame 2, 3 head, 405 lbs., 125.50; 10 head, 732 lbs., 90.00; 8 head, 820 lbs., 82.00.

Feeder bulls: Medium and large frame 1, 6 head, 266 lbs., 146.00; 4 head, 391 lbs., 123.00; 12 head, 467 lbs., 117.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 10 head, 333 lbs., 120.00.
