ASA recognizes Renown show winners

The American Salers Association Recognition of Renown program is designed to honor those producers for making the commitment to display Salers cattle at various livestock shows across the country. Winners are selected on a point system. Points are calculated on individual bulls, females, dams and sires in relation to show placings at the American Royal in Kansas City, Mo., the North American International Livestock Exposition in Louisville, Ky., the Missouri State Fair, the Iowa State Fair, the Mid-South State Fair and the National Salers Show in Denver, Colo. In addition to the three constant point shows, other livestock shows are meeting the minimum criteria of 30 head are also counted as point shows. Individual winners were selected on total points. Division winners were selected on division points only with ties, when possible, broken on overall show points. To be listed in the top five, animals must have shown in two sanctioned shows.
