SAHC will host art show during Beef Empire Days

Southwest Arts and Humanities Council will hold its first juried Western Art Show beginning June 1 with a public reception from 2 to 5 p.m., at The Arts Center on Main in Downtown Garden City. The show, "Art with Critters and Cowboys" is in conjunction with Beef Empire Days. The exhibit, with art related to the beef industry and western themes will remain in the gallery until June 21.

Juror for the exhibition is Doug Waters, western artist and teacher from Hugoton. Sponsors for the event are: Horsefeathers; Poky Feeders; Fairleigh Feed Yard; Circle Land and Cattle; Elanco; Reinert and Lee, CPA; Hopkins and Hopkins, Optometrists and Hitch Feeders; Finney County Feedyard and Circle C Cattle Corp.

The Arts Center on Main is free to the public and accessible. Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

SAHC invites everyone who visits Garden City during Beef Empire Days to stop by to see this wonderful Western Art Show.
