The OSU Agronomy Club hosted the 2008 Students of Agronomy, Soils and Environmental Sciences Northern Regional meeting in Stillwater April 5 and 6.

More than 120 students and their club advisors participated in the event. Universities represented included: Michigan State University; University of Illinois; University of Minnesota; Purdue University; University of Wisconsin-River Falls; University of Nebraska-Lincoln; North Dakota State University; Oklahoma State University; Murray State University; and Fort Hays State University.

SASES is an undergraduate student organization of the American Society of Agronomy, Crop Science Society of America and Soil Science Society of America. It is composed of chapters located at colleges and universities that provide a curriculum in agronomy, crops, soils and environmental sciences. A variety of programs and activities are offered on the local and national level for students to become professionally involved and to prepare for their future careers.

Organizers said the meeting was a huge success. Special thanks go to our sponsors, Dr. Redfearn, Dr. Hattey, Janet Rich, Brad Clayton, Josh Bushong, Amber Brewe, Cody Massey, Matt Braun, Billie McKean, Jerry May, and the entire Agronomy Club.
