Lexington cattle sales report

The Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 1,800 head, compared to 2,200 head last week, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb.

Compared to last week, steers and heifers were steady. Demand was active on replacement heifers. Steers accounted for 28% and heifers 72% with 60% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 16 head, 465 lbs., 120.00; 503 to 536 lbs., 112.75 to 115.00 (114.32); 562 to 591 lbs., 108.75 to 113.75 (110.62); 615 to 641 lbs., 109.00 to 116.50 (113.13); 661 to 679 lbs., 108.25 to 108.50 (108.38); 26 head, 713 lbs., 107.00; 776 to 787 lbs., 100.00 to 103.75 (101.46); 24 head, 849 lbs., 98.10; 31 head, 901 lbs., 90.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 618 to 629 lbs., 103.50 to 107.50 (104.87); 7 head, 725 lbs., 98.50.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 17 head, 431 to 441 lbs., 110.00 to 112.50 (110.90); 455 to 490 lbs., 103.75 to 110.75 (109.94); 506 to 538 lbs., 105.00 to 108.00 (105.34); 568 to 586 lbs., 103.00 to 112.50 (108.55); 601 to 636 lbs., 94.10 to 104.50 (101.11); 650 to 681 lbs., 95.75 to 97.75 (97.45); 48 head, 654 lbs., 115.00 value added; 720 to 736 lbs., 101.00 to 105.00 (102.35) value added; 773 to 796 lbs., 85.00 to 87.50 (86.48); 766 to 779 lbs., 100.50 to 101.50 (101.02) value added; 807 to 812 lbs., 87.50 to 88.25 (88.17); 40 head, 802 lbs., 104.00 value added. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 11 head, 449 lbs., 105.00; 558 to 595 lbs., 96.25 to 100.00 (98.41).
