Cedar, brush control demo planned near MullenNebraska Sandhills Resource Conservation & Development will host a cedar and brush control demonstration April 17 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. (MT). The demonstration site will be four miles east and one mile north of Mullen along the Middle Loup River and the road will be marked. Several vendors will have timber harvesting equipment to be demonstrated including saws, feller/buncher, grinder, shears, grapples, chopper and pullers. Representatives from the USDA-Natural Resource Conservation Service and the Nebraska Forest Service will be on hand to discuss cost-share and other funding opportunities for pasture clearing and fuel-load reduction.
