Ada livestock sales report

The Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 1,125 head April 2, compared to 2,025 head last week and 1,974 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were $2 to $4 lower. Feeder heifers were steady. Demand was moderate to good on all classes. Quality and weigh-ups were average. Flesh conditions were medium to fleshy. The supply included 42% heifers and 39% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 6 head, 317 to 338 lbs., 131.00 to 132.00 (131.67); 11 head, 375 to 392 lbs., 136.00 to 139.00 (136.98); 5 head, 425 to 442 lbs., 128.50 to 136.00 (131.43); 18 head, 458 to 490 lbs., 124.00 to 128.00 (125.18); 6 head, 500 to 548 lbs., 119.00 to 121.50 (120.46); 8 head, 560 to 587 lbs., 118.50 to 119.00 (118.62); 15 head, 608 to 635 lbs., 107.00 to 109.25 (108.34); 5 head, 696 lbs., 97.25 fleshy; 10 head, 726 to 729 lbs., 93.50 to 96.25 (95.43); 9 head, 758 to 769 lbs., 93.00; 7 head, 929 lbs., 84.50.
