Aberdeen cattle sales report

The Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 4,387 head April 9, compared to 3,561 head last week and 3,017 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Compared to last week, feeder steers sold steady to $2 higher. Heifers sold $2 to $4 higher. Demand was good, with a large attendance. The offering was comprised of 48% steers, 52% heifers, with 95% over 600 pounds.
