Woodward livestock auction report

The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 9,040 head Sept. 14, compared to 5,882 head last week and 3,589 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture to USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were $1 to $3 lower, over 850 pounds were $3 to $5 lower. Feeder heifers were $2 to $4 lower. Steer and heifer calves were steady to $3 lower. Demand was moderate for all classes. Weigh-ups were average to full, end gaunt. The supply included 65% steers, 32% heifers with 83% over 600 pounds.
