Watertown cattle sales

The South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, S.D., reported receipts of 800 head Sept. 19, according to the, USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D.

There is no market trends, due to no report last week. Feeder calves sold at a premium. The offering consisted of 49% feeder steers, and 51% feeder heifers with 95% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 5 head, 364 lbs., 133.00; 15 head, 502 to 507 lbs., 126.00 to 129.00 (127.99); 8 head, 641 lbs., 121.50 calves; 5 head, 671 lbs., 123.50 calves; 10 head, 720 lbs., 126.00 calves; 14 head, 790 lbs., 122.75 calves; 801 to 828 lbs., 119.00 to 122.50 (120.98) calves; 880 to 882 lbs., 111.75 to 115.25 (112.59); 901 to 905 lbs., 113.60 to 114.90 (114.61); 32 head, 1015 lbs., 102.90. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 18 head, 926 lbs., 111.85; 18 head, 1104 lbs., 99.10. Medium frame 1 to 2, 5 head, 624 lbs., 108.50; 5 head, 803 lbs., 100.00.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 8 head, 486 lbs., 120.00; 10 head, 681 lbs., 111.00 calves; 717 to 745 lbs., 110.00 to 113.50 (112.69) calves; 764 to 780 lbs., 108.00 to 110.00 (108.47) calves; 20 head, 863 lbs., 106.50 calves; 54 head, 936 lbs., 103.25; 18 head, 1007 to 1033 lbs., 91.50 to 92.00 (91.81).
