South Central direct sheepThe South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending Sept. 14, showed receipts of 400 slaughter meat goats, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas. Compared to last week feeder lambs were not tested. Slaughter kids had no comparison. There were no slaughter lambs and replacement ewes. Slaughter ewes were not tested. Trading at a standstill in the area. Most producers have an abundance of feed and are planning to sell lambs next month. Slaughter meat goats: Kids, Texas, 400 head, Selection 1 to 2, 50 to 65 lbs., 100.00 to 105.00. Date: 9/20/07
