High Plains weighted average direct slaughter cattle sales for the week ending Sept. 16, totaled 108,365 head, compared to 117,663 head last week and 192,929 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, St. Joseph. Mo. The report was based on sales in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Minnesota feedlots.
