Woodward livestock auction report

The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 5,882 head Sept. 7, compared to 5,640 head last week and 3,642 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $1.50 higher, over 850 pounds were $2 to $4 higher in a limited test. Feeder heifers were steady to $1 higher. Steer calves were steady. Heifer calves were $1 higher. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average to full. The supply included 66% steers, 32% heifers with 92% over 600 pounds.
