St. Joseph feeder pigs
The St. Joseph feeder pig auction, St. Joseph, Mo., reported receipts of 250 head Sept. 11, compared to 244 head last week and 73 head last year, according to the USDA-Missouri Department of Agriculture Market News, St. Joseph, Mo. Compared to last week, feeder pigs under 50 pounds sold $3 to $8 higher, over 50 pounds were not well tested with undertone steady to higher on heavier weight feeder pigs. Prices paid per head on actual weights. U.S. 1 to 2: package 37 lbs., 30.50; 46 to 48 lbs., 25.00 to 25.50; 61 to 62 lbs., 30.25 to 31.00; lot 83 lbs., 41.50. U.S. 1 to 3: package 56 lbs., 27.50.
