Ogallala livestock sales
The Ogallala Livestock Auction Market, Ogallala, Neb., reported receipts of 3,200 head Sept. 5, compared to 1,150 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. There is no comparison to last week, due to no feeder sale. Trade was active on all weights. Steers accounted for 30% and heifers 70% of the offering, with 83% over 600 pounds.
