FFA youth parade Angus champions at Missouri State Fair

Angus youth paraded 102 entries at the 2007 Missouri State Fair FFA Angus Show, Aug. 9 in Sedalia, Mo. Tim Loudon, Creston, Iowa, evaluated the 78 females, 21 bulls and three cow-calf pairs before selecting champions.

Brett Naylor, Buffalo, Mo., showed the grand champion bull. G P N Midland 6N3 is a September 2006 son of BR Midland and first topped the calf division.

D A C New Day 62 claimed reserve grand champion bull honors for Austin Sayre, Creighton, Mo. The January 2006 son of Boyd New Day 8005 first won junior champion.

In the female show, Paige Wallace, Stotts City, Mo., claimed grand champion honors with WCC Arkdale Pride 6014. The April 2006 daughter of EXAR New Look 2971 first won junior champion.

Dereck Washam, Pierce City, Mo., led the reserve grand champion female. Frontier Grace 886 of H S is an October 2006 daughter of B/R New Frontier 095 and first won calf champion.

Austin Sayre, led the grand champion cow-calf pair. W C C Jet 423 is a February 2004 daughter of Summitcrest High Prime 0H29. A January 2007 heifer calf sired by Boyd New Day 8005 is at side.

Lucas Harpster, Kidder, Mo., showed the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. H A F Primrose H035 is a January 2005 daughter of S A V Front Runner 0713. A January 2007 bull calf sired by O C C Emblazon 854E is at side.
