Dunlap feeder cattle report
The Dunlap Livestock Auction, Dunlap, Iowa, reported receipts of 2,032 head Sept. 7, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa. This was a special feeder calf/yearling sale. Trade was active. The sale featured many strings of new crop calves and yearlings. The quality was good and was well received by the buyers. Receipts included 60% steers and 40% heifers, with 42% of the feeder cattle weighing over 600 pounds.
