Denison feeder cattle sales
The Denison Feeder Cattle Auction, Denison, Iowa, reported receipts of 3,310 head Sept. 6, compared to 2,485 head last year, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa. This was a special feeder cattle sale. Trade was active. It featured many strings of yearlings and new crop calves. The quality was good and was well received by the buyers. Receipts included 53% feeder cattle over 600 pounds, 56% heifers and 44% steers.
