Angus champions named at 2007 Missouri State Fair

Exhibitors led 270 entries at the 2007 Missouri State Fair Angus Show, Aug. 10 in Sedalia, Mo. Doug Parrett, Champaign, Ill., evaluated the 198 females, 59 bulls and 13 cow-calf pairs before selecting champions.

Clearwater 6106 EXT215 claimed grand champion and senior champion honors. James Pipkin, Republic, Mo., owns the January 2005 son sired by Wulff's EXT 6106.

Bryson Byergo, Savannah, Mo., led the reserve grand champion bull. Byergo Big Time 5910 is a January 2005 son of Hyline Right Time 338. He earlier won reserve senior champion.

WCC Blackbird 597 captured grand champion female for Paige Wallace, Stotts City, Mo. The October 2005 daughter of B/R New Frontier 095 first won senior champion.

Caleb Sayre, Creighton, Mo., showed the reserve grand champion female. SCC Lucy 6217 is a January 2006 daughter of TC Total 410 and first won junior champion.

WCC Jet 423 was named grand champion cow-calf pair. Austin Sayre, Creighton, Mo., owns the February 2004 daughter of Summitcrest High Prime 0H29. A January 2007 heifer calf sired by Boyd New Day 8005 completes the winning pair.

Madison Gooden, Crocker, Mo., showed the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Goodens Holly 41 is a December 2004 daughter of Connealy Lead On. A March 2007 bull calf sired by Twin Eagles No Fault M904 completes the pair.
