Aberdeen livestock salesThe Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 2,468 head Sept. 12, compared to 3,317 head last week and 2,046 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, feeder steers sold steady to $3 higher. Feeder heifers sold mostly $2 to $3 lower. Receipts included 30% steers and 70% heifers, with nearly 100% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 9 head, 755 lbs., 122.50; 829 to 843 lbs., 120.50 to 121.30 (120.89); 880 to 893 lbs., 117.00 to 117.25 (117.17); 900 to 913 lbs., 113.25 to 117.00 (115.27); 1004 to 1040 lbs., 102.00 to 102.50 (102.20); 8 head, 1115 lbs., 100.00.
