Wyobraska cattle salesThe combined sales volume of Wyoming, western Nebraska, and western North and South Dakota auctions for the week ending September. 1, according to the USDA-Wyoming Department of Agriculture Market News, Torrington, Wyo. Feeder cattle were not well tested at Wyoming auctions this week. Demand was good. Direct trading was moderate. Few comparable sales were mostly steady. Demand was moderate to good. Buyer inquiry was moderate to good. Offerings were moderate. Unless otherwise noted direct prices are current FOB with a 2 to 3% shrink or equivalent and with a 5 to 10 cent from base weight. Steers made up approximately 69% of the supply, heifers 31%, with 48% over 600 pounds. Direct sales accounted for 8,200 head of the total receipts.
