Watertown cattle sales

The South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, S.D., Sept. 5, reported receipts of 300 head, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Due to no report being issued since July, there were no trends available. The offering was made up of 85% feeder steers, 15% feeder heifers, with 99% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 14 head, 728 lbs., 127.00 calves; 753 to 754 lbs., 126.50 to 126.75 (126.62) calves; 873 to 892 lbs., 113.25 to 116.75 (115.53); 18 head, 962 to 968 lbs., 109.00 to 111.00 (110.56); 10 head, 1140 lbs., 95.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 8 head, 666 lbs., 126.00 calves; 9 head, 940 lbs., 106.50; 12 head, 1047 lbs., 93.25.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 25 head, 736 lbs., 118.00 calves; 7 head, 841 lbs., 110.75; 10 head, 1044 lbs., 92.00.
