Lexington livestock salesThe Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 3,300 head Aug. 31, compared to 2,400 head last year, according to the USDA to Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared with two weeks ago, based on a narrow test comparable offerings trended fully steady to firm. Demand was very good and trading was moderate to active. Total offerings consisted of 49% steers and 51% heifers, with 97% of the total feeder offerings weighed over 600 pounds.
