Apache livestock sales
Stockman's Livestock Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 1,723 head Aug. 31, compared to 6,560 head last week and 3,514 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, all classes of feeder cattle and calves were steady to $2 higher. Labor day weekend helped slow livestock movement. The supply included 40% steers, 50% heifers, 9% bulls and 54% over 600 pounds.
