Apache cattle sales report
Stockman's Livestock Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 2,320 head Aug. 25, compared to 6,560 head last week and 4,129 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, all classes of feeder cattle and calves were steady with a light test on feeder steers. Heavy rains last week with flooding continued to slow livestock movement. The supply included 32% steers, 57% heifers, 11% bulls and 65% over 600 pounds. The cow sale was not reported last week, and there was no trend to call.
