Ada livestock sale notes
The Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 1,931 head Aug. 30, compared to 1,700 head last week, and 2,600 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers and steer calves were steady to $2 higher, heifers were steady. Demand was good on all classes. Weigh-ups were average to gaunt. The supply included 49% heifers and 34% over 600 pounds. A total of 327 offered with 40% going to packers.
