Watertown livestock salesThe South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, S.D., reported receipts of 750 head Oct. 3, compared to 1,300 head last week, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, feeder steers were weak to $1 lower, while feeder heifers were $2 to $3 lower. The offering included 70% feeder steers and 30% feeder heifers, with 90% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 18 head, 518 to 523 lbs., 123.50 to 128.00 (125.74); 653 to 677 lbs., 121.00 to 123.50 (122.08); 755 to 785 lbs., 118.00; 831 to 840 lbs., 115.75 to 116.00 (115.77); 917 to 944 lbs., 108.80 to 111.40 (110.51); 21 head, 956 lbs., 109.30; 1055 to 1067 lbs., 104.20; 35 head, 1180 lbs., 96.00.
