South Central direct sheep

The South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending Sept. 28, showed receipts of 2,700 feeder lambs, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas.

Compared to last week feeder lambs steady were. Slaughter lambs and ewes, replacement ews and slaughter meat goats were not tested. Trading and demand were moderate. Limited supply of lambs available.

Feeder lambs: Texas, 2700 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 75 to 90 lbs., 100.00 to 103.00; 70 lbs., 104.50 for late October delivery.
