Pratt livestock auction reportPratt Livestock Sales Inc., Pratt, Kan., reported receipts of 1,608 head, Sept. 27, compared to 2,425 head, last week and 1,096 head, last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared to last week, feeder steers and feeder heifers at 300 to 700 pounds were not enough for market test but a steady undertone was noted. Feeder steers at 700 to 950 pounds and feeder heifers at 700 to 800 pounds were steady to $2 higher. Trade was active demand good. Slaughter cows were $4 lower. Slaughter bulls were $3 lower. Receipts included 81% 600 pounds and over, 13% 600 pounds and under, 6% cows and bulls. The feeder supply included 63% steers and 37% heifers.
