Pratt 3 p.m cattle salesThe Pratt Livestock Auction, Pratt Kan., Oct. 4, reported estimated receipts of 2,000 head, as of 3 p.m., according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared with last week, feeder steers and heifers at 300 to 600 pounds were not enough for a market test. Feeder steers at 600 to 750 pounds were $2 lower, 750 to 800 pounds were steady, 800 to 900 pounds were $2 lower, and 900 to 1000 pounds were steady. Feeder heifers at 600 to 900 pounds were not enough for a market test, a weak undertone was noted. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 45 head, 648 lbs., 100.18; 650 to 700 lbs., 113.50 to 116.50; 700 to 750 lbs., 116.00 to 118.85; 750 to 800 lbs., 115.60 to 118.35; 800 to 850 lbs., 112.85 to 114.60; 850 to 900 lbs., 113.00 to 116.75; 900 to 950 lbs., 110.10 to 111.00; 950 to 1000 lbs., 106.25 to 109.25. Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 4 head, 648 lbs., 109.50; 70 head, 680 lbs., 111.75; 27 head, 738 lbs., 106.75; 24 head, 788 lbs., 104.50; 71 head, 815 lbs., 105.25. Date: 10/4/07
