Irrigation traction system provides performance on most terrain

Lindsay offers growers Z-TRAX, an exclusive irrigation traction system that will provide optimal performance for Zimmatic pivots and select models of other brands on most terrain.

Z-TRAX will keep pivots on track, even through the most difficult of terrain. Uneven ground, streams, ruts or mud won't slow down a pivot upgraded with this system. Enclosed in a high-ribbed, wide-based tread, Z-TRAX distributes weight evenly to minimize ruts while providing improved floatation and lower ground pressure.

With sealed components, Z-TRAX boasts a longer product life and less maintenance than other systems. Simply check track tension and grease the tension cylinder periodically. With no tires to deflate, down time is minimized, saving growers time and money.

Installation is easier and faster than other systems, taking less than a half hour to complete. Growers simply jack up their pivot tire, remove it and attach Z-TRAX to the existing hub - with the same bolts. No additional modifications are necessary.

Delmer Pelster is the supervisor at Niewohner Farms in Albion, Neb. He thinks Z-TRAX will be a hit with other growers like himself.

"It's amazing how it walks right through the mud and water," he says. "And hilly areas aren't a problem either, it just marches up the hill without slipping or creating ruts. We don't have to keep a watch on it like we used to, we can just let it go."

The Zimmatic center pivot product line offers a wide range of irrigation equipment options. For more information, call 800-829-5300, or visit www.lindsay.com.
