Apache livestock sales reportStockman's Livestock Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 2,915 head Sept. 29, compared to 3,650 head last week and 3,335 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder cattle and calves were steady. Demand was good for all classes. Weigh-ups were average to full. The supply included 53% steers, 40% heifers, 5% bulls and 63% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady to $2 lower. Packer demand was moderate to good. A total of 353 cows and bulls sold with 70% going to packers.
