Aberdeen cattle sales reportThe Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 1,916 head Oct. 3, compared to 4,492 head last week and 4,035 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, feeder steers sold mostly steady to $1 lower, heifers unevenly steady. Demand was moderate. Steers comprised 60% of the run, heifers 40% with 88% over 600 pounds.
