SHUR-CO. of Oklahoma returns to full operations

Shur-Co., a nationwide supplier of engineered tarping systems based in Yankton, S.D., announced it has resumed full operations at its El Reno, Okla., service branch. The El Reno facilities were destroyed by a tornado on May 9. While the facilities were being rebuilt, minimal operations were conducted at the site and regional orders were filled through Shur-Co.'s Brookshire, Texas, and Denver, Colo., branches.

The new 6,750-square-foot facility includes a service center for walk-in sales of tarps, systems and accessories, tarp installations, and repairs. This building has been completed and full services resumed Sept. 4. Additionally, a new fabric covered, metal framed 2,160-square-foot Rushmore Building, a new product being produced and sold by Shur-Co., has been constructed on site and will be used as an additional installation bay for partial installs, fabrication, and parts shipments. The El Reno location provides tarping products and installation services for the agriculture, construction, and flatbed markets.

"We appreciate the patience of our customers in the region while we have been rebuilding our facilities in El Reno," said Don Shorma, Shur-Co.'s National Branches Manager. "We have been able to maintain our short lead times to our customers by shipping products out of our Texas and Colorado branches, but we have had minimal installation capacity during the rebuilding process. We regret any inconveniences this has caused to our customers. With our new facilities, we are back at 100 percent capacity and can provide the same top-notch level of service we had prior to the tornado."
