Pratt livestock sales reportPratt Livestock Sales Inc., Pratt, Kan., reported receipts of 1,849 head Oct. 18, compared to 2,334 head last week and 2,303 head last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared to last week, feeder steers and feeder heifers at 300 to 700 pounds were not enough for a market test but a steady undertone was noted. Feeder steers at 700 to 900 pounds were steady and 900 to 950 pounds were $1 lower. Feeder heifers at 700 to 900 pounds were steady. The feeder supply included 57% steers and 43% heifers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 13 head, 460 lbs., 125.00; 13 head, 524 lbs., 116.00; 23 head, 587 lbs., 116.00; 34 head, 647 lbs., 113.50; 40 head, 697 lbs., 112.00; 705 to 732 lbs., 112.50 to 115.50 (114.54); 66 head, 733 lbs., 118.25 value added; 760 to 790 lbs., 109.00 to 113.00 (112.09); 60 head, 783 lbs., 117.00 value added; 802 to 829 lbs., 111.50 to 115.00 (113.65); 17 head, 863 to 875 lbs., 110.00 to 111.50 (110.70); 903 to 915 lbs., 105.00 to 108.50 (107.35). Medium and large frame 2, 722 to 739 lbs., 105.00 to 108.00 (105.67); 808 to 847 lbs., 106.50 to 108.50 (107.33); 11 head, 949 lbs., 105.50.
